Pakistan’s mediation process has not failed, it is going through a difficult phase, Abbas Araqchi

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi says that Pakistan’s mediation process has not yet failed, but it is going through a difficult phase. The main reason for the difficulty in the negotiation process is the American attitude and the distrust between us.

While holding a press conference in New Delhi, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that he is grateful for the Russian offer to transfer enriched uranium from Iran, but that transferring enriched uranium is not being considered. There is a deadlock in negotiations with the United States regarding uranium enrichment.

Abbas Araqchi said that Iran is not responsible for the obstacles in the Strait of Hormuz, that the Strait of Hormuz will only be able to open as usual when the United States ends its aggression, and that the Strait of Hormuz is open to everyone except countries involved in the war against Iran.

He said that American bases in the United Arab Emirates were targeted from where aggression against Iran was launched, Israel and the United States could not protect the United Arab Emirates, Iran does not trust the United States, and this is the biggest obstacle to any diplomatic effort.

Abbas Araqchi further said that the solution to ending the US-Iran war is nothing but negotiations, Iran is ready to return to the fight and is also ready for a diplomatic solution.

In his statement, Abbas Araqchi said that we appreciate the efforts of every country that is capable of helping, especially China. China has proven to be helpful in the past, especially in restoring relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. We have very good relations with China. We are strategic partners. We know that China’s intentions are good.

Abbas Araqchi said that we will welcome any role China plays in assisting in diplomacy. If we reach a good result through progress in the negotiations, the Strait of Hormuz will be completely secure, and we will be able to accelerate the restoration of normal maritime traffic there.
