ISLAMABAD: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss regional developments and reinforce bilateral ties.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik were also present during the meeting.
The leaders met in a cordial atmosphere to discuss peace and stability in the region. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, appreciating Saudi Arabia’s patience amid the ongoing crisis.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed the Saudi Foreign Minister on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to facilitate talks between the United States and Iran and emphasized the leadership role of Saudi Arabia in uniting the Muslim Ummah.
The Saudi Foreign Minister expressed gratitude and shared his perspective on the regional situation. Both countries agreed to maintain close communication and continue joint efforts to promote peace and stability.
In related diplomatic engagements, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met with the Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Egypt, warmly welcoming them in his office to discuss bilateral and regional matters.
